Dr. Sunil Lonkar is a Senior Researcher at the Advanced Materials Research Centre of Technology Innovation Institute, Abu Dhabi, UAE. Dr. Lonkar is an experienced materials scientist with 14 years of experience in industries and academia. He completed a PhD from NCL-Pune (India) and LPMM (France). He was a postdoctoral fellow at IPF-Dresden (Germany) and the University of Mons (Belgium). From 2013, he worked as a Research Scientist at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, conducting several research projects in the field of nanostructured materials. Dr. Chun Yu Lu is a lead Researcher in the Metamaterials Team at TII. He has a Ph.D. from the department of physics at National Taiwan University. His main activities at AMRC are to design and fabricate metamaterials for different applications, including optics, elastics, and acoustics. He has published over 50 research papers in the fields of nanophotonics, rock/oil/water surface wettability, and 2D materials.

With aPh.D. in polymer technology and over a decade of research experience inadvanced materials for energy and electronic applications, his expertise isfocused on materials innovation, sustainable polymers, self-healing materials,coatings, adhesives, materials recycling, and photocurable inks for sustainablesolutions in thermal management, energy storage, wearables, perovskites, and actuators.As anearly-career researcher, he has published over 40 articles in well-renowned,high-impact scientific journals, including Advanced Materials, Nature,and Science series journals, as well as several patents.
